According to our school emotional counselor, there are alot of impacts and reasons for the use of illegal substances among students. The main reason for the use would be the exposure of social media along with immense peer pressure amongst students. A few impacts would be difficulty in decision making and bad attention span. Based on her experience, one of her friends had also faced addiction and the withdrawal syptoms of getting over the same. A prevention method would be getting the right help through therapy. A concept of reverse psychology has further been introduced. Which makes children want to do the complete opposite. Hence, alternatives are recommended. Vaping has become very common amongst teenagers and they think that it's extremely normal. However, they don't understand the intensity behind their actions and the repercussions. This information provided was definitely informative and helpful.

According to students, illegal substances are used by them to feel better when they are down. Students also believe that each child's mindset plays an important role in making choices. Also that peer pressure is a huge factor in this, the pressure to fit in. Furthermore, the use of illegal substances can cause anxiety, depression and addiction which could further lead to cancer and lung diseases. Students get fatigue and this could affect their education too. A few common substances used amongst teenagers are alcohol, vapes, drugs and tobacco. All in all, exposure to the media further influences children to use these substances. Web series like euphoria and more.

Substance abuse affects students emotional stability, they could get aggressive or depict a  withdrawn behaviour. Furthermore, a students attention span could reduce. An Anxiety increase could lead to students not being able to focus on details. The addiction can impact their lives in an unhealthy manner. Substance abuse can impact personal relationships, careers and more. Students further lose friends, moral values. Substance abuse also ruins a students academic life. On the other hand, prevention programs are available for students that are going through losses and are suicidal. Awareness programs aid these students in schools and are benefiting them to an extent. However, students need to be responsible and should have a better mindset in order to benefit from these programs.
